Recently, some British parliamentarians have claimed that the increasing number of Chinese electric buses on UK streets could pose a national security threat. However, none of them have provided a single piece of evidence that a Chinese electric bus in Europe was recently remotely disabled from China. Consequently, Norway, Denmark, and the UK have launched what they call a 'security investigation' into the Chinese-manufactured buses, on the grounds that these vehicles could be remotely disabled. Some have gone even further, promoting the idea that Chinese manufacturers could bring traffic in London to a complete halt with the press of a button.
"But what is strange is that these same buses were used as 'welcome ambassadors' for delegations and prominent figures at the United Nations conference."
